Vocabulary

 

1.)  Poem -  a   genre   of   wring usually   written   in   short   lines and   is   often   rhymic.

 

2.)  Drama :   a   play   typically   told through   dialogue

 

3.) Prose :   wrien   or   spoken language   that   is   not rhythmical

 

4.) Verse :   a   grouping   of   words in   a   poem,   also   referred   to as   stanzas,   to   provide structure   to   the   wring

 

5.) Rhythm :      a   strong,   repeated paern   (beat)

 

6.) Meter :      a   repeang   paern of   stresses   that   provides   the beat

 

7.) Buoyancy – the upward force of water, another liquid, or air that keeps things afloat.

 

8.) Evaporation – the process in which water particles change from a liquid to a gas.

 

 

9.) molecules – the smallest possible amount of a particular substance that has all the characteristics of

      that substance.

 

10.) Condensation - the process in which water particles change from a gas to a liquid.


Field Trip to Outer Banks Info.

4th/5th Grade Fieldtrip

for 2016/2017

 

This year’s trip will be on May 4th and 5th. We will be traveling to the Outer Banks.

This will be an awesome, hands-on trip.

 

Places we will visit:

Roanoke Island Festival Park: Elizabeth II

                                                         Settlement Site

                                                        Exhibit Hall

                                                        Fossil Pit

 

Jeanette’s Pier – hands-on Science Programs

 

Cape Hatteras Lighthouse

 

Wright Brothers Memorial

 

Somerset Plantation

 

Other Fun Details:

Pizza Party Dinner/ DJ Dance Party at Comfort Inn Oceanfront Hotel where we will be staying.

Day 1 – Dinner

Day 2 – Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner($5.00 cash)
